I entered the mental health field because I’ve always found deep purpose in connecting with people and supporting their growth through healing. I provide a range of therapeutic approaches tailored to the individual needs of each client, beginning with a thoughtful and thorough assessment to guide treatment planning. My work with clients often centers on themes of building autonomy, empowerment, and hope. I approach therapy from a wellness model that views each client through a holistic lens, honoring all parts of who they are. In sessions, I lead with warmth, compassion, and authenticity. I bring humor into sessions when it feels natural and supportive, knowing that sometimes laughter can be a powerful part of healing. I utilize a trauma-informed perspective to support clients in processing grief, shame, and past experiences. I plan to pursue EMDR certification to further support trauma work.
Liv’s clinical approach draws from several modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and Person-Centered Therapy. “People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don’t find myself saying, ‘Soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner.’ I don’t try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds.”
