  1. Hey y’all’s ! I am A’Leigha Johnson , and I’m passionate about creating a therapy space where people can show up fully as themselves and feel safe, supported, and genuinely cared for. I believe therapy should feel real, warm, and judgment-free — like a space where you don’t have to have everything figured out to be accepted. I especially enjoy working with college students and young adults, helping bridge the gap between mental health and academics while navigating life transitions, relationships, stress, and self-growth. At the same time, I’m open to working with people from all backgrounds, identities, and experiences because everybody deserves a space where they feel heard, valued, and empowered.

My approach to therapy is rooted in humanistic care, authenticity, and connection, while also incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to help clients better understand themselves and build healthy coping skills. I have experience working in several areas of mental health, including group counseling, substance misuse, anxiety, self-esteem, emotional regulation, stress management, and life transitions. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the historically Black college and university Delaware State University and my Master of Science in Counseling Education with a specialization in Clinical Professional Counseling from Central Connecticut State University. As a Black woman in this field, I understand the importance of having spaces where people feel seen, understood, and comfortable being vulnerable, and my goal is always to help clients feel secure, confident, and supported throughout their healing journey.
